Climb Lookout Mountain
If you do it on a bike, the 56 curves and 4.6 miles of Lookout Mountain Road in Golden are a lung-busting test of your fitness. Denver resident and Tour de France veteran Jonathan Vaughters once did it in 16:45 - you'll be lucky to make it in twice that time. Or you can do it by car - the mode of transportation for which the road was designed in 1911 - and treat yourself to some of the most spectacular views of the Mile-High City and the surrounding foothills. Keep an eye out for the parasailers as you climb, and pay your respects to Buffallo Bill's grave when (if?) you reach the summit.

Tee off at Arrowhead Golf Club
This publicly owned course is as tough to play as it is beautiful - red rocks jutting up from the ground make for a jaw-dropping setting so inspiring that at the end of the day you really won't care what you shot.

Kelly's Note: Although beautiful, I understand that Arrowhead can be quite expensive. Fear not! There are SO many golf courses in Denver, you can find something to meet just about any price range.

Have a Pregame Beer at the Wynkoop
Throw back a couple pints of Railyard Ale and pay respects to this downtown brewpub, which launched LoDo as we know it. Without then-bartender (and now-mayor) John Hickenlooper risking it all by opening his pub in a dodgy neighborhood, there'd be no game to watch.

Taste the Rockies
Most factory tours lead you on a lame, semi-informative curcuit before dropping you off in their crappy gift shop. Coors Brewery doesn't disappoint and they give you free beer - before you hit the gift shop. You'll learn about how barley is grown, the invention of the silver bullet can and the real age of the Coors Light "Twins".
