Do Your Business at an Oxford Urinal
LoDo's Oxford Hotel is an impressive joint, but down below street level is where you'll find something truely majestic: Victorian era urinals carved from solid marble. Oh sure, you say, a urinal's a urinal. But not these. These are the Mt. Rushmore of urinals, as big and wide as the Colorado prairie. Step up to one and know what it is to be a man.

Kelly's Note: You can check one out between martinis at the Cruise Room.

Pay Tribute to "Dynasty"
The campy nighttime drama gave Denver an '80s identity in TV-land. We suggest you make a trip to Cherry Hills and push a rich lady into a pool - make Alexis Carrington proud.

Buy Elk Jerky on the Side of the Road
There are a few incontrovertible laws of dining - the best Italian food comes froma a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, the best burrito comes from a cooler outside Coors Field, and the best elk jerky comes from a guy selliing it out of his trunk. Pull over and enjoy, and try not to notice his cargo van spray-painted "JERKY." Look for the van on the side of US 6 in Clear Creek Canyon (and in other random locations).

Eat Like a Queen
Forget waffles and made-to-order omelets - Bump and Grind's Petticoat Bruncheon is a brunch unlike any other, with dishes like green eggs and ham and Fluffernutter sandwiches delivered by friendly drag queens. Leave room for treats like the "caramel knowledge bars" and the "kissed" or "dissed" peanut butter cookies.

Belly up to the Bar at Lincoln's Roadhouse
Gather three friends and order the ski shot. The barkeep will pull out an archaic Olin ski mounted with four shot glasses. You call the shot, count to three, hoist the ski and drink!

Kelly's Note: My good friend Lori loves the meatloaf sandwich, and their fried pickles ROCK!

Watch the Sun Set at the Davidson Mesa Lookout on Highway 36
You'll catch one of the most magnificent panoramas on the Front Range: Longs Peak in the distance, Denver behind you and the sky orange and pink above.

Highway 36, heading west into Boulder, just at the top of the hill

Bargain hunt at the Mile High Flea Market
Bring plenty of cash - you never know what you'll find amid the 2000 booths. In season, it's our favorite place for chiles, spices, even discount veggies. Get there early before the breakfast burritos run out.

Do a Drive-By on Mork & Mindy's House
As it's an actual home owned by real people (and not a sanctioned tourist trap), we won't give you the exact address. Instead, make it a mini Boulder adventure and wander Pine Street east of Broadway until you see that familiar Victorian where Mork slept upside-down in Mindy McConnell's apartment.
