Hi Everyone!
Well, this was a really exciting weekend for me! Our friend and neighbor Steve works as the Community Relations manager
for Barnes and Noble in Boulder. A few months back, someone from the corporate offices called Steve and said, "Hey Steve, the Barenaked
Ladies just put out a new kid's album called Snacktime, and they are doing a very limited tour of Barnes and Nobles across the country
to promote the CD. Would you like to have them in the store?" Steve said what any decent Boulderite (and fan) would say in this situation, "Duh!"
Fast-forward to Thursday of last week, and Tammy, Steve's wife, called and said, "Kelly, would you like to help me work the hospitality
table in the 'green room' and hang out with the BNL?". Like the good Boulderite I am, and BNL fan for that matter, I said, "Duh!"
So Tammy and I got up on Saturday and went to Whole Paycheck to pick up organic snacks for the band, then 'transformed' the employee
lounge into a green room for the band. We got to chat with them and hang out for about a half an hour before the set. We also
got them coffee and tea from the café, although I think they were a little embarrassed by that. So humble. ;)
